From your first camera to your first report in one week.
CamTak sits between your cameras and your team. Here is what happens from the day we visit your site to the weekly report on your phone.
What the first week looks like.
Site survey
We review your camera list, NVR model, network and the incidents you care about most. We check camera angles and resolution, and agree which cameras and detectors to start with.
Gateway install and camera discovery
The CamTak gateway joins your network beside the NVR. It discovers ONVIF cameras automatically and takes RTSP streams for the rest. Nothing on your existing recording changes.
Zones, rules and people
We draw zones on each camera with you, pick detectors and schedules, and set who gets which alert on which channel. Owners, managers and guards each get the access they need.
Tuning week
Alerts start flowing. Your team marks each one as useful or not with one tap, and we tune thresholds per camera. By the end of the week, alerts match how your site actually works.
Run, report, expand
Daily and weekly reports arrive on schedule, webhooks feed your systems, and adding more cameras or branches takes minutes from the console.
Edge-first by design.
Heavy video work happens at your site. The cloud only receives events, which keeps bandwidth low, response fast and footage private.
Ingest
The gateway pulls sub-streams from each camera and decodes them on the GPU.
Detect and track
Models find people, vehicles, PPE, smoke and more, and keep a track ID on each object.
Apply rules
Zones, schedules and thresholds turn detections into events with a severity.
Deliver
Events, snapshots and a short clip go to the cloud, then out to people and systems.
Hardware sized to your camera count.
Use your own NVIDIA GPU PC or have us supply one. These are typical sizes at 1080p sub-streams; we confirm during the site survey.
| Site size | Cameras | Typical GPU | CPU / RAM | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Small | up to 8 | NVIDIA RTX 3050 6 GB | Core i5 · 16 GB | Single shop, showroom, office |
| Medium | up to 16 | NVIDIA RTX 4060 / 5060 8 GB | Core i7 · 32 GB | Larger store, petrol pump, small plant |
| Large | 20–30 | NVIDIA RTX 4080 / 4090 | Core i7 / i9 · 64 GB | Warehouse, factory, event ground |
| Campus | 100+ | Several gateways | Sized per zone | Multi-building sites, large events |
Light on bandwidth
Only events, snapshots and short clips are uploaded. A standard business broadband line is enough for most sites.
Works offline
If the internet drops, the gateway keeps detecting and buffers events, then syncs when the connection returns.
Outbound only
The gateway opens an encrypted outbound connection. No port forwarding or public IP is needed.
Works with what you have.
- IP cameras with ONVIF Profile S or any RTSP stream
- NVRs and DVRs from Hikvision, Dahua, CP Plus, TVT, Uniview and others
- Analogue cameras through a DVR that exposes RTSP
- 1080p recommended; 720p works for most detectors
- Alerts on WhatsApp, email and web push
- Webhooks to ERP, POS, access control and ticketing
- REST API for events, evidence and reports
- Console on any modern browser, desktop or phone
Rollout questions.
Will it slow down my NVR?
No. CamTak reads the lower-resolution sub-stream from each camera, so your NVR keeps recording the main stream as before.
Can I start with a few cameras?
Yes. Most customers start with the four to eight cameras that matter most and add the rest after the tuning week.
Who installs the gateway?
Our team or a trained partner installs and configures it. It is usually done in a few hours.
What if I change a camera?
Replace it in the console and redraw its zones. The rest of the setup stays as it is.
